Banks
The state banks are chartered, regulated, supervised, and examined by DFI. National banks are chartered, regulated, supervised, and examined by the Office of Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Out-of-state state banks are chartered, regulated, supervised, and examined by their home state banking departments.
All banks operating within the state have their deposits insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
